Ecosystems of the Hunter Region Botanic Gardens Site

Mesic Forests Occurs mainly on the south side of the dunes near the south wetland	Wetland Occur in the dune swales as perched swamps with peaty bottoms	Blackbutt Forest These forests lie between the Mesic Forests on the lower parts of the dunes and the Bloodwood Forests on the higher dune levels	Bloodwood Forest Occur on the higher dunes mostly in the northern part of the site
